Stages of Recovery offers a virtual family-support meeting via Zoom each Tuesday at 7:00 pm. Each meeting is led by our staff member and long-time recovery advocate, Mechie Scherpereel. At Stages, we understand recovery isn’t just about one person – addiction isn’t an island. Our Family Support Group ensures that everyone in the wake of addiction moves forward to heal through this treatment journey and beyond.
This non-clinical setting allows a client’s family and loved ones to share their experience, strength, and hope. It also safely lets family members process the physical and emotional storm experienced during their loved one’s addiction in a productive and solution-focused environment. With ongoing attendance, Stages can develop a constructive relationship with those who will be nurturing and supporting the client throughout their recovery. Concepts discussed include boundaries, enabling, trust, self-care, surrender, and detaching with love, among others.
If your loved one is currently receiving long term addiction treatment or dual diagnosis treatment at Stages of Recovery and you would like to join us for your recovery, please email mechie@stagesofrecovery.net to be added to our weekly Zoom invite!
